Default BSNL wimax

Yes thats good news but hope that prices arent high as they are now.And hope they provide good customer support(they dont in bsnl broadband). And soon many co. will come forward with this ideas as reliance has started mobile internet surfing upto 145 kbps on move at reasonable rates.

But can anyone tell me what does 256kbps-8 mbps mean(this is one of the speeds BSNL is offering).Does that mean wimax speed can vary between this range?
