I have also heard that there is a wifi hotspot at airport but I was expecting it to be the same as you described. And it's funny that the airport staff is not aware of it.

You are right that Delhi is not as advanced as Bangalore when it comes to technology but Bangalore is full of MNCs and professionals so you can expect these things there. Hope the people here become more aware of these technologies so that we get to see more wifi hotspots in the coming future.
