ppl, dont you all think airtel should revise its plans regarding broadband. the plans are so much similar to bsnl , but the tariffs are too high i feel.. and the speed is low as well !! bsnl plans are way better i feel and more economic... maybe airtel should revise its plans and reduce cost to attract new customers

Airtel attracts customers due to its quality of service. Its plans for examply 999 for 256 unlimited is much costlier than BSNL's 800rs per month, still it is popular as it has good service.

service is location and customer oriented , dont you think ? at my place bsnl is better on any given day with respect to anything... service , connection etc . also you are telling only about the 800 vs 999 plan where as its the economy mode that BSNL uses seems to attract mass

Exactly yes. It all comes down to location. But I am living in NCR and here if BSNL cant provide good service to the areas it is covering then I think govt should'nt give liscence to them to operate here at all. My house is just 2KM away from exchange.

2 kms away and you dont get a good connection ?? thats bad man !!

I think this is where all the connections need help. Wish they get better

2 Kms can have an attenuation rate off more than 50% in poor quality cables so maybe yuo should ask for cabling to be tested?

Doubt its a cable problem, else his voice clarity would also have been affected. maybe they dont have a DSLAM at the exchange.

I have just tried to check the rates on the Airtel.in but i can get any info on that. I think they are updating their traffic on their webssites right now.

Presently the tariff is really high as compared to other ISP but if you look at the reliability of the service then you can see that it is really good and i think that it is worth paying more then getting stuck with a problem with no one to help you.
