Default Usage notification triggers?

Hi,
Not sure if this is possible, but is there an easier way to create notifications of usage for the Airtel residential broadband connection? I have a 4GB limit and would like to be notified when I exceed that...the CC folks have no idea and tell me its not possible...

Has anybody tried this or found this needy like me?

Cheers
Shankar

You could try the program netmeter. It's free and can be set to alert you when you're close to exceeding your limits.

Default Here is the solution for Download monitor limit

1) Download the software --- BROADBAND DOWNLOAD MONITOR

2) Use the below llink to download it (if this link dosent work search from google by using the phraze without quotes "broadband download monitor")

3)Broadband Download Monitor - track downloads to your PC using our free software

4)This is a free software but needs registration which can be done free of cost online

5)Install the software

6)Register yourself by clicking "not yet registered link" at the time of login screen of the software

7)After registration use the username & password provised during registration to loginto the software

8)wait untill it gets connected to the Download monitor server

9)now open the software set the parameters mentioned below

10)ENTER YOUR DOWNLOAD LIMIT (GB) ----------- SET IT 4

11)SELECT YOUR PERIOD OF TIME FOR YOUR DOWNLOAD TEST --------- Click on month

12)DO YOU WANT TO SET AN ALERT FOR YOUR DOWNLOAD TEST ------ Select YES

13)WHEN DO YOU WANT TO BE ALERTED ---------- Select "Tell me when i have used 90%" from the dropdown menu

14)HOW DO YOU WANT TO BE ALERTED ----------- Select "Noise & Popup message" from the dropdown menu

15)Now save the settings by clicking the SAVE button

16) IMPORTANT - Before using the internet & after switching on the modem do not forget to login to the BROADBAND DOWNLOAD MONITOR SOFTWARE, If u forget to login then the software dosen't monitor your internet downloads

17)Now whenever you exceed the 90% of download limit of the airtel 4Gb plan the software alerts you with noise & popup message

Iam using this software & satisfied with it

If this helped you reply me back

Thank you ------------------------- MANJU
