Yeh bsnl is strugling with shortage of ports in their exchnges and the new equipment is going to take ages to come in so while then the only way is if some one in your area gives up his internet connection you can have that port otherwise no chance.

Yes!! As the admin said, BSNL is facing too much of problems. Here in Bangalore too, people are waiting for more than 8 Months.

A friend of mine had booked for a conn in May this year, when he asked after 2 months, they said it would be given in March 2008!!

BSNL will never come out with out with a proper solution to solve the problems, that we as customer face. They do have ample manpower and funds in bulk, but their basic working system is completely and worn out.It is better that you move to some other company for your internet connection.

Default Totally inefficient company

I also applied for a broadband connection about 3 weeks ago at the office also online.
Best part of this whole business is that no one replies to you. So had to go to their office to find out what the delay was, well, they have no modems but no one bothered to send me an email to say so.No modems? It is an Indian Government enterprise so it is understandable that the employees are rather not concerned about improvement or efficiency. why should they? they get paid for doing nothing. Also they get all the benefits including their pension once they have managed to reach that stage without doing nothing.
Yes, India is well known for it's inefficiency through out the world. This is just one of many millions.
economic super power? not likely when you have such lazy so & so working for BSNL & many thousands of other such Government & privately run enterprises.
What a thamasha indeed.
Lethargy and inefficiency and sheer laziness will eventually destroy this country.

REally nice, Just tink for 2 minutes. Once you get a connection and if for some reason u face any problem, then how come time will it take for them to send you their representative to look into your problem.

Let me guess. .. 8 months..

Well, Just send them an complaint with your application No. and then ask them to give you the status of the application. If they tell you then it is well and good and if they dont then i think that it will be nice to send a complaint to their regional office and i am sure that you would get some answer from them.
