Hi,

I am using a BSNL broadband connection.

I am able to open Google, yahoo and many other sites. But when i try to open Gmail, Yahoomail or orkut it shows the "Cannot open this page." error.

It was working fine a few days ago. I think i changed my browser settings so i am facing this problem. I tried my level best but i am not able to revert my browser settings.

Also i am not able to login in to Gtalk. It says "Cannot connect to the server".

Any help to get rod of this problem is highly appriciated.

this may do it.this is the first thing i do and it correct most of my problems..

Yeh I agree with Mike.. All you need to do is clear your cookies and cache.
Give us a shout again if things dont work out after you have done this.

For Yahoo Mail
Try this stop gap :
Open in your browser
web yahoo messenger.
[url]http://webmessenger.yahoo.com/[/url]

Log in with your
Yahoomail Id and password.
Yahoo messenger web page will open.
Click Yahoo mail on top right.

If Yahoo mail is accessed, program other email such as
Gmail account also.

Mention you modem model/make in all replies.

1. First disable firewall ( only for testing )

2. Wrong MTU and MSS setting in ADSL Modem,
Correct the setting MTU = 1492 and MSS=1452

3. Try using some other browser like Opera , Firefox

4. Try after disabling Internet Security related software.

Also mention whether Yahoo mail Id is Yahoo.com or Yahoo.co.in.
Feedback.

1) Change MTU size in modem to 1488 or 1484 and reboot
OR
2) Configure modem to Bridge mode and create a pppoe dialup in PC
