Hi,i have bsnl home unlimited plan (256kbps)with router but my download+upload speed has never shown me more than 32 kbps....which is i think very slow. I changed my router to bridge mood but it doesnt help me.
Priror to this unlimited plan i have limited plan in same settings where do i get fast speed for downloads than the limited plans.....is there any loop....ADMIN please reply....help

Download speeds are usually displayed in kilobytes per sec (kB/s), and 1 kB = 8 kbits, so if you're getting 32 kB/s downloads that means you're getting the full speed of your 256 kb/s connection.

With 256 bit connection i think you are getting the right amount of download speed. For a 256 bit you never get more then 32 kbps with BSNL. I get nearly 40 -45 kbps DL and UL speed with airtel.

You should get speed some where near 40 kbps. if you are nothing getting this speed then i think that there is some problem somewhere cause i am presently using Airtel and under same plan i get 40-50 kbps download speed.

You are lucky as compared to me. I am getting only 16 kbps speed as top download speed and you are getting 32 which is almost double.

I get the same download speed. This plan supports no more. this is the max that BSNL provides. i guess you have not seen the tariff details. It is very clearly given there.
