Check out netmeter or DU meter, also always switch off the router when you are not using the internet. That will not only save bandwidth, it will also save a bit of electricity.

I agree with Mmm and Parminder, BSNL is too big to stoop to such tactics.

After you have crossed the limit you will have to stop using the net for the rest of the month which is not the best idea . I would suggest to you to get the unlimited pack .

My friend , if you say that BSNL is not fraudulent , than could you tell that how does usage appears on their site even if my modem was disconnected and switched off .

I am using Bandwidth Manager and i think it is the ultimate software to look at your bandwidth usage.
