Unhappy Please Guide me..

Im goin to apply 4 a BSNL broadband.. I have two plans in my mind : Home500 Limited & Home750 Unlimited.. Im an extreme downloader (by birth !!)..

The problem is i cannot wake up at 2:00 am in morning.. but i ve heard that its speed is more than the other one... Is there anything lik automatic log on for it?? Sure i cant wake up at 2 am all!! but can leave ma PC on.. Bt ive heard that if u leave the modem on, there will be update dwmlds goin on, which will come in ma limitd account !!

If u suggest that 750UL is the best, i wanna know the torrent download speed in that.. I download minimum 700 mb per day.. With ma PC left on for 8-10 hrs/day...

In my opinion its always best to go for a true unlimited plan as billing by all Indian isps is a bit fishy and could land you into trouble.

If atall you decide for the plan that is free to use after 2am then you dont have to wake up to start your torrents.. you can schedule your modem to dial at a given time and log off at a given time its no big issue.

You could DL 80-90mb avg per hour on 256k connection with good torrent seeders.
So for 8-10 hrs it could be anywhere around 700-800mb.

For charges it would be 750 + voice rental(zero if you have taken Home UL 750 PLUS combo plan)+ Modem charges(if rented from bsnl Rs60/90 depending on type of modem i.e. wifi or not) + 12.5% service charge!

So around 900Rs for 750plus with wired modem included.

Plus one has voice rental already added while with normal one you need to have an additional voice plan of ur choice for eg one india .....
In any case plus always comes out cheaper.
Charges wouldbe 750+12.5%= 840Rs with 750 plus plan!

But the guy who came, told something silly like this: "If you keep the modem on for too many hours like 7-8 hrs.. the chips inside may melt and the modem will be damaged soon"...
