i recently got a VOIP phone (vonage) from the US, i am a BSNL broadband user but i am not using the BSNL modem which they give..i use a modem of XAVi technologies model name X8821r+ ...i setup the modem to enable PPP which is required for my VOIP...but sometimes i dont get net (i dont need to login as PPP is activated..i get connected as soon as i switch on)...is it a prob with my modem...and one more thing i cant use my landline when i am on net..the net gets disconnected..by using the BSNL modem can i simultaneously use both net and landline..should i change my modem..please help

well i think your modem is had a damage or not connect properly so that it not working properly.. it is much better go in some person that know how to fix some technical problem like that...Some VoIP services only work over your computer or a special VoIP phone, ... Special VoIP phones plug directly into your broadband connection and operate
