BSNL connection drops frequently! it sucks!

I bet my 10cents on it dude. It definatly sucks!!

That is the only reason I kicked their ass and went for expensive airtel.

The connection problem is not there in every place. Maybe in your place its fluctuating, but here, its the best. Only once a month or so ,the connections breaks.

Anyways this is my 2 cents:
Airtel and Tata Indicom broadband suck to the core. Its damn too costly in case of airtel and Tata's speed is fuckin low.

BSNL's minimum speed for browsing is 2MBPS

It done drop but airtel and tata service is very bad you have to wait for mins for the page to open

It happens once in a while. Certainly BSNL is much better in terms of speed than other service providers like aritel, reliance, sify, indicom etc... With BSNL It requires just 25-30 secondes to download a 5 MB song...

If you can live with the infrequent connection, then BSNL speeds are definately better. Also I think in recent times, BSNL is actually the more stable ISP.

I too have frequent disconnection between 2:45 p.m. to 11 p.m. daily except on Sundays. I suspect that BNSL tech guy are disconnecting my connection.

Monkeys sitting on the customer care of BSNL are dumb. They switch the phone to auto answer "phone number you dialed does not exist" or they just not pick up or if they pick up also, after listening to the problem, they ignore it, and the problem remains as it is.

Trust me its not just bsnl its true for any company which provides services in India Its thew whole country's attitude in my opinion

Happy New Year 2008.

for my Engineering i need to have the unlimited net connection. I have tried Airtel, Tata Indicom, Reliance. Now i m switching over to BSNL due to cheaper packages ( im in 900 Plus scheme ) and very good bandwidth.

in Airtel, TI, Reliance also the same problems are there. such as disconnections, low speed, surge and sucks. but if you call customer care they will respond you nicely by nice girls voice. but actually no active progress. the problem will be solved after a long time only. i have called once for airtel customer care for my internet not connected. simply that stupids replied that SERVER UPGRADATION IS GOING ON. but actually nothing like. simply they replied. again next shift person from airtel is telling that no server upgradation. see how they are cheating us.

but in BSNL they will not reply you if you want to call. you have to go by person to get your work done. i m following the same. but for me its very rare. i m facing very very less problems compare to airtel & tata indicom.

and my friend is using now airtel monthly Rs 900. and i m also the same in BSNL paying Rs 900 per month. he is getting download speed of 30kBps and i m getting download speed of 60 - 65 kBps. so imagine that which is benefitted.

out of this i have to accept one more negative point from BSNL. they dont have qualified staffs to check your problems. but it doesnt matter for me. coz once i gone to bsnl office to configure my own modem for braodband. they have tried long time to configure but stil they failed. they are trained to configure in bsnl modems only. then i got the settings from them and configured myself and working fine now.

and once i have complained for internet not working. after that my phone line is dead. later i came to know that while checking the net connection they have tested the landline also. while testing they forgttn to put the fuse back. so the lne was dead. very bad.

but in my experiance i have face the same problems in airtel and ti also. the whorst is reliance. but they will not allow us inside. so we dont knwo what hapen actually.

finally BSNL is the best braodband in chennai (TN).

SD completely agree with u mate,i have used reliance which i bet is de worst compared to other,have been using Airtel (900 plan) connection frm de past 1-1.5 yrs n trust me now i m so pissed of so planning to change probably bsnl 900 plan,as i have been thinkin bout it since last 2 months so today i thought i shud google for sum bsnl dataone review n found this forum n joined!!

my download speed dez daz is between 5kbps to 18kbps...juz imagine i m paying 900 bucks for dis pathetic speed,i have been logged complained bout de same speed prblm,no doubt they cum to my place widin 3-4 hr at max but then they r of no help,they cum check wid der crappy softwares n then sum time they say ok ill go bak to office n will increase ur speed aah increase speed my foot,n most of the time they say sir its workin absolutely fine!!

yesterday i was gettin de speed of 3kbps n bcoz of dat i was goin berserk n called airtel CC n told them i m havin dis prblm since last 6-8 months n if this prblm is not rectified this time then i m not payin a single penny this month if u want then juz cut de connection n send me legal notice etc...lady in de fone said sir its mostly due to tht ship thingy in egypt huh i said tht has happened few days bak but i m facin this prblm since last 6 months,n she said ok sir v will send a technician 2morow in de mornin tht guy cam n say my download speed is arnd 6 kbps n he called up a guy in is office said sumthin n told me tht i have told in de office ur speed will increase soon u dun have to worry! n went...this is happenin wid me since last 6-8 months n seriously now i m really goin mad!!

So i wud like to have suggestion frm u guyz,who have dataone,airtel etc...temme shud i stick to my current airtel connection or instead of this garbage i shud opt for dataone 900 plan??i use internet quite a lot hhmm may b 6-8 hrs daily!!is dataone service vry bad?i mean is it true tht sum times da line is down for ages?bcoz in tht case i dun think ill go for dataone bcoz lil slow will b fine for sum time but i wud like to b connetc atleast,n yeaa i download quite a lot f1 races,music at da same time i play games online Counterstrike etc...so suggest me which will b gud?

EDIT:- n yaa most importantly da reason tht i m so curious to change my airtel connection to dataone is i went to my bro's place today he is using dataone 500 plan(2.5gb limit) n wen i checked he was gettin download speed of 105 kbps huh i was choked till neck...bcoz for me it was kinda magic...i have neva eva witnessed dis kinda speed in my sucky airtel...so thts why i made up my mind tht ill try to get review frm people tht how gud is dataone n if most of them say its gud then ill get dat asap,waise i asked my brother he said if i switch of de modem,then it takes n hr or 2 to get connected,n sum time whole nite,huh he said sum time i have to keep it on whole nite so tht wen i get up in de mornin i can get connected,this is sumthin really weird havent had dis kinda prblm wid my airtel...except for speed which is de most imp everythin is ok wid airtel! waiting for ur quick reply/suggestions!!
