Modem reported an error
Hi guys,
My family is facing a strange problem for the last two weeks. We are using the Home Combo ULD 1350 for the last few months on our desktop with Windows 7 OS. One fine day morning (Two weeks back) they told me that they are unable to connect to the internet and they called BSNL and lodged a complaint. The same complaint was posted in the Customer Care portal of BSNL that we are receiving an error message 'modem reported an error #651'. We received a call from BSNL informing that there are some changes made to the configurations so we should contact the exchange to reconfigure the modem. Someone from the exchange came and tried for half an hour without any progress, took the modem for checking. Next day he returned the modem and told my wife that the modem is working and the problem is with our computer. Everything was working properly on our computer and still working except the internet connection.
We have the Lan connection with a status of no internet access and when we try to connect we are getting the error message 651. Our Windows 7 is not reporting any error. I need the help of you guys to solve this issue. Is it something related to the network card or is it something related to the modem itself? The modem is provided by BSNL and it does not have a USB port to try that way.
