Though, I would never be using the dial-up connection again but just wanted to know if there are other dial-up Internet providers as well? What are their costs if anyone has any idea.

there is nothin as connection for dial up..it is like plug and play method
if you want to use ur dial up , just connect it to ur mother board and the phone wire..and thats it !
the rate of the dial ups are equal to normal phone calls

BSNL , Reliance , SiFy , Airtel , Tata ... all provide dialup internet
connections apart from MTNL . Dialup is rather expensive and it
should be avoided if possible . Internet connection charges are
collected along with telephone charges for internet use . more
over dialup connection speed is much slower (can be < 15kbps !)
and phone is engaged while we use the internet .

A modem is required for dialup internet connection . it is not
plug and play .

The modems for it costs just about 50rs. I can however give it to you for free!!

However ther are a few operators like reliance and airtel and BSNL give you Dialup. Although they dont reccomend it themselves.

There is nothing difficult to install modem or other stuff but the problem is with using dial-up. I even can't count it in a fixed time that how many times it was disconnected and making my phone bill a monster. I shall never use Dial-up again.

I personally dont recommend Dial Up, but if you're too interested, then Sancharnet from BSNL is a good choice
