I have changed my plan to from 256 kbps 1.5 gb/month to 100 kbps unlimited-Rs. 1124 incl. tax 3 months.I generally work out anything on net at late nights.But after 10-11 my net used to stop.Means bytes sent/receive didnt take place.I called no. 2356468 and 2320218 hell lots of times and they said they will send the engineer.Finally he came.He did some IP settings and went allright.Same problem after fortnight.Again he hardly came and moment he came,net started working fine and he said its allright.The main problem was net was not working fine at late nights and morning till 8-9:30.Working fine till now.
It always happen after i give them some rude words that they solve my problem. ![]() |

the problem seems to be weird !! maybe they are overloading the ports ... tell them your problem once more , but as i can see its difficult to make a service employee come at night !! a written complaint to a higher official would work !
buddy , if nothing works out , its time you got your service provider changed ! im sure you would get great plans for the tariff you pay .... |

Hathway service is very bad in Bangalore. Please think twice before you take the service from these guys especially if you are in Bangalore. I have taken 256 Kbps service and the speeds are not even close to the dial-up connection from VSNL.
Most of the weekends and holidays the service is not working and the usual excuse customer support guys come up is that KSEB (Electricity department) has cut our wires. Better off with dial-up connection. Cancelled the service today. Hope they refund the deposit money. |

Hi, I had booked for Hathway connection in Bangalore a month back. I cancelled the connection after 10 days of booking due to the pathetic response from their side. They promised I'll get the connection whithin 2 days and hence I agreed to pay Rs 3000 as Installation charge. Since I didn't get the connection even after 10 days, I cancelled the booking.
I had paid 1670 as registration and subscription charges ( another 1500 which I had promised to pay when I get the connection as installation charge, Total 3170). Now whenever I call them for the refund, They will promise to call me back and then no response. Please tell me whom should I contact to get this refunded. |

Its the same story in Coimbatore too...The customer care is too bad...I spoke with Anu, Aarthi, Surya, Prakash, etc...Also with Jeevitha in Chennai office, who is highly irresponsible with her answers...I have been calling a salesperson named Ashok who always promises me that he will come to my place in 10 minutes or 1 hour; but never did that for atleast a week's time...
After that i placed a complaint/request to provide the internet connection. The next day came the most irresponsible salesperson named Vinoba...He is a guy filled with dirty promises..I have told him several times that i will be registering with him only if the customer service is good and wont encourage false promises...He shook his head like a pendulum and grabbed my money and went away.... The cabling guy Siva came to my place and analysed the possibilities and told me that it will take a maximum of two days to do the cable work (for 200 metres). I agreed and also asked him not to delay beyond that. Only after that the real problem started. I have been chasing Vinoba, the salesperson and was calling the customer care and explaining the problem 'n' number of times. No one has responded properly and atlast i managed to get a call from Mr. Nirmal, who calls himself as the head of the customer care. He too is not aware of whats going on and told me that he will be calling back. I requested him to provide me the higher official or a responsible person who can take action to make things work. No one including this guy has given me the number, instead asked me to mail the complaints. The same day i went to their office in Coimbatore and met Stephen.J, Network Engineer, who calls himself as the Tech. head of Coimbatore. He too tried to avoid me initially by just talking with some of his colleagues about my problem in the name of clarification. But I made a statement clearly that something has to be done to take an action against the irresponsible persons and to give proper reason and to promise that it wont happen again by a responsible person if there is anyone in Hathway. To conclude, we should take this issue to the consumer court and make them to realise that they have to work for their money that has been paid by Hathway through us. Send a reply or post your interests if you wish to join me...We have to unite, else they will misuse us... |
