Default How much does it normally cost to use mobile for Internet?

I have never used my mobile for browsing the Internet so I wanted to know about the costs involved in doing so. Can we browse every website or are there some selected websites? What are the speeds involved?

Thanks for any help!

it depends on the technology u use i think. using gprs could not give you access to all websites while using edge would be a better option and it is great for all sites although the speed is poor . And i think its re 8 for gprs and 20 for edge ( or rs 10 ?? )

I have heard about a service from one of my friend by Airtel called MOBILE OFFICE. For monthly rental of 300rs you can use your mobilephone as a GPRS/EDGE modem with unlimited data usage. Speeds are fairly adeuate with download speed being 8-10kBps in night. And arough 15kBps during early morning.

I used to have an airtel gprs subscription which was rs499 per month and no limits on usage but to be honest I never liked it coz even google home page would take atleast 15-30 seconds and some secure pages would just time out due to security reasons for instancve it was imposible to check my adsense account or my bank account using the airtel gprs connection..

And I would rather not reccomend you to check your adsense accout through that. As airtel has just single gateway for all the mobile users. It just has a single IP(global ) for all users of a cicle who access internet. So anyone who commits fault, all of others suffer.

airtel 5 rs a day is NOP that can not be used on PC. I am not sure, but idea had good plans like 99 a month unlimited download. But airtel gprs speed is much better than others.
