Can we use a Sony Ericsson Mobile Phone (in my case a K550i) as a webcam? So that i can use the phone while chatting on gtalk or yahoo messenger?

Is it possible with the data cable provided along with the phone, to use it as a webcam?

i know there r some softwares to do that does any one know about it

I don't think thats possible although there are some high end mobile phones which you can use for streaming videos.

I don;t think that you can do that.. as of the webcams.. they are very much cheap i think range starts from 300 and goes all the way up to 2000 inr.
