In my opinion you are more then 4 kilometres from the telephone exchange and this causes frequent packet loss resulting in delays in opening web pages.
On the other hand if you use a download manager your speed shoult be pretty good while downloading from a server which lets you create multiple connections.

Please try open DNS and see if that helps.

Have you checked your phone line? does it have any disturbance in it? also check your splitter .. may be go and test it at some friends place if it works ok with their connection.

It seems to be a more of a technical issue , i reckon why don't you call customer support to help you get rid of this problem, i think network administrator will fix the problem in minutes.

If you need to know whether your router is working well or not then you got to contact your technical customer support, that will be the best option for you, its not easy to find out the problem with router untill you are an expert!

I think the problem is not in your router.. Cause you say ur other neeghbor never encouter same problem with... The problem is in your internet provider maybe they have an internal problem to their site or they are updating their system... Or better switch to the other provider like what u the Tata Indicom.

Default MTNL Broadband Connection - is it necessary to have a landline connection

Guys

Need to know whether for MTNL Broadband connection, is it mandatory to have a land line.

what is the difference b/w Broadband and Data Card -> I have been considering to buy Reliance Data Card.

are these companies (MTNL and BSNL) are having data cards with them and in case, only BSNL is providing Data Card service then, do they give a connection in Delhi also, as BSNL connections are all over India except Delhi and Mumbai.

Finally, what is the difference of speed between Data Card and Broadband?

I am really confused right now,........... if you can help.....

Regards to all the guys in the forum
