Hi all,

I am a resident of Mumbai. I have been using MTNL Triband service ever since it was launched.

Recently, I checked the tariff of MTNL Delhi, there is a plan (TriB B phone 500 Combo) for Delhi users that I am using in Mumbai (DSL Combo). Everything is same in the plan for Mumbai & Delhi users except for monthly free data download. In Mumbai, we get only 400MB free download per month whereas in Delhi, for the same plan it is 2.5GB free download per month.

Why is this discrimination amongst us (as a Indian) even though we (mumbaikars) are the highest tax payers in the country.

As per the law Mtnl can charge different prices in different markets but on the other hand it does make one feel bad knowing that some one is paying less then you are in some other part of the country.

Mtnl and Bsnl are both in process of launching new packages soon so hopefully this time around there wont be any differences.

MTNL Mumbai increased the free monthly data download for Mumbai users from 400MB to 600MB effective 01-01-2009. Yet no where near Delhi users (2.5GB Per Month).
