Default Reliance wimax in Bangalore

The last thing I heard about Reliance wimax was from a friend in Bangalore who told me that reliance wimax has been launched in Bangalore and the prices are pretty good and at par with other adsl and cable services.
I have always liked the idea of wimax from the very begining as it is wireless and a local powercut wont make any difference if youv got power backup for your pc or laptop which would run for a couple of hours on batteries anyway.. you will not get any disconnections.

This reliance wimax broadband is only available at Bangalore but will soon be available at many other cities and towns across the country. I just cant wait anymore I would love to see this wimax to come to Newdelhi and I will be the first one to apply as soon as I get to know about the launch.

If you have anythng to add to this please leave a reply so we can all share anything and everything we know about reliance wimax and especially those who are using wimax at bangalore please leave your comments about their service and quality of the wimax internet connection.

I was just browsing Google about Wimax and I came across some interesting facts and information about this technology.

This seems to be a very promising technology and will be quite beneficial in the future. Hope it is soon introduced here so that we get to know more about it.

The problem with India is that new tech takes long to launch . We are a growing economies but the govt has got too much of paper work which is not keeping up to our growth .

Thumbs down Reliance WiMax-Don't fall in this trap

I'm using it for last 4 months. Totally it worked only for 15 days.. that to not fully. Dont ever go for it, till get confirmation that they resolved all issues. Actually they are beta tesing on the customers. Customer service is pathetic.

Default Reliance Wimax

Reliance has now added more towers and their network has stabilized for better.
That should be a good news!!!!!!!!!

Wireless Broadband Offer!![/COLOR]

WIRELESS BROADBAND at an unbelievable initial cost of Rs.500 /- only. Get away from the 'NET-IS-SLOW or DOWN' syndrome due to cable cuts, power cuts, peak hour traffic etc .,

WiMAX WIRELESS technology offers seamless uninterrupted faster browsing, gaming and download at super high-speeds… than the conventional wired lines. The farther remote reach capabilities and the convenience of installing or moving the antenna when you shift your residence/office make it more preferable.

Bangaloreans call reliance wimax to enroll for this offer & book your connection. Pass this offer onto your friends, family and colleagues who wouldn't like to miss out.

Nothing is resolved and Reliance is pathetic, they are putting up with their trend (seen in Reliance Mobile).

Their very design has many flaws, DHCP (a never ending story), ip conflicts, packet drops, average speed, auto disconnection, windows based(fucking unreliable) servers

Max attainable speed is never more than 50% of the plan (if you go with upto 2 mbps plans). I gaurantee nobody can ever show (any time of the day) a speed of more than 1 mpbs or a little more in reliance plans where they say upto 2 mbps.

Try BSNL it will always be more than 2 mbps even if they say upto 2 mbps

I am sure its just the choice of those who have no other option.

Trust me, BSNL inspite of being governemt’s is far more reliable and works twice as fast as any wimax connection.

Wimax will never be there when you urgently need internet or atleast you can’t be sure it is there and how long it will be there.

The customer care is just sitting their to fool around people and listen to our abuses.

The only thing they do well and in time is disconnect the service asap after due date, because most of the customers don’t pay, coz theservice is not OK.

If you have an option like AIRTEL or BSNL in your area never ever go with reliance.

Summarising its just for those who seldom use net and who have no other option (like BSNL and AIRTEL). Never go for it if you intend to work using the connection, it will never be there when you need it. Morever they will never be able to fix the problems nor even for 1 year or so to come.

Don’t trust me ? Try it out yourself.

We probably need a lot more competitive environment for isps here in India before the end user can actually get some good service and a responsive customer care.

I would love to hear from those who are using wimax at Bangalore especially those who have had good experiences as we never really hear from those who are happy with the service reliance wimax is providing, all we ever get to hear is from unhappy customers... or is there no happy reliance wimax user?
