Yesterday i ordered a Reliance Wimax connection and out of curiosity came online to collect some more info about the service. Had read alot of good/bad things/reviews about the service and I am confused now!!!!
Need some opinions about the service to know if I should go for it or keep my Sify connection alive??? ![]() p.s. - my sify connection is giving me problems due to which im looking for other services. |

I have a sify connection aswell and I think sify right now is much better then reliance wimax and the reason being reliance is still running it in beta and havent actually officially launched it.
Reliance customer service is worse then you can ever imagine.. none of their staff has a clue about customer service and they even lack basic manners while talking to customers. |

hmmm not sure if its in beta or not but i have read some other sites that ppl are liking it now since it has improved than before!! so hopefully in delhi its not in beta.
plus i own a reliance mobile ocnnection and im familiar with the CC, hoping for the same shitty CC service for wimax aswel. loll ![]() |

My friend
I am also using sify and facing problems sometimes but never go with reliance wimax because I myself have face the problem with reliance. As my friend said above that the customer service is totally useless and don't know how to reply. Secondly having beta version it is not successful. Even my friend is using reliance usb modem and facing most of the time the problem of frequent disconnect. Thanks I hope you will be satisfied Last edited by dashanan; 06-24-2008 at 10:28 AM. |

Thanks for your inputs dashanan....but i think WiMax is different from USB modem, right??
And USB modem connections are not efficient from any service provider, whether Reliance, Tata or Airtel. I have tested it!! Also, I won't say sify is the best/better/good because i have to call my net operator every noon to get my connection working since its giving me problems for past 2 months. Sometimes its the hub on the Pole, the wire is disconnected, a crow sat on the wire and bit the wire off....and such stupid excuses i get from the net operator which i seriously doubt are even true. And to top that, Sify CC is not at all helpful, its similar to Reliance CC so not at all useful!!! Anyways hoping for best with this WiMax service!!! cheers! |

Hi,
I am using this connection for the past 5 months, the connection is quite stable unlike the other wi max vendors, trust me i downloaded gb's of data for these past months, All you have to check is whether you are getting good signal strength or not. Regarding CC, these people are for taking our Problem requests only, the resolution and will be resolved by technical department, mostly CC people will be fresh graduates and will be having little technical knowledge, we have to break our nerve on the technical people not on these poor people . Unfortunately these people are becoming boxing bags for us . |

My family and I depend on internet and even though Reliance Wimax has had a couple of problems, I have found the customer care to be very good. I agree with nsc_tpt, that these individuals are doing their best. I have used 2 other ISPs since coming to India and none of them were flawless.
