Hello folks,
Being out of range for any data card coverage, I previously had the slowest of the slow dial ups - BSNL - which was astronomically priced. We then moved to a place where Reliance was covered and I purchased the Data Card for the laptop. The service here is excellent - about 230kbs consistently and good download speeds also. I'm VERY happy with the purchase and the service. We are, however, moving to Reis Magos in the State of Goa in the next few weeks and I have been trying without success to find out if the Data Card will have coverage there. Could someone please let me know where I can find out whether Reis Magos is covered. I have Aircel for my cellphone which is not covered by themselves in Goa, and don't want to have to pay for roaming constantly, so I was thinking about getting a Reliance cellphone too - but I am a little worried as I can't find out anywhere it seems (even on the Reliance website, which takes me round in circles - though that could be my age also!) where I can find out if I'll be covered! All responses appreciated and many thanks! |

You dont have to pay any roaming charges for your data card.. I take mine with me all over India and I dont get charged for using the net out of Delhi. But its still a good idea to have a chat with reliance customer care.
It is very unlikely that reliance wont have coverage at Reis Magos but the best way to confirm would be to call up some one local over there and ask them if some one uses a reliance phone in the area and how the reception is ![]() Hopefully some one from the area will read this and reply with some reliable info ![]() |

Parminder I don't agree with your view regarding reliance ...See there service is -comparitive- far poor in northern regions ( than other players ) especially punjab. I did visit there regarding some conferencing equipments related seminar in Jalandhar..and its got worse when the other person can't even hear my voice when I was inside a hotel...

Yes If you go inside a hotel you may experience some problem but its nothing new.. wll phones are known to loose connections when taken deep into buildings.
I have been to Jallandhar and use my reliance data card there at two hotels : Kamal palace and Leo and it worked just fine.. I also spent a few hours at the Radisson's coffee shop and it worked well over there as well.. It really depends how deep you are into a building. Dont know if you know about this place but I have also spent a few days at Adampur which is about 25 kilometres from Jallandhar and this reliance data card never lost connection although the speeds vary from one place to the other. |

it depends on the availibility of the signal. IF you are getting good signal then your internet connection should also work fine. Data cards works well in major cities as compared to small cities or villages or during travel. I also had a reliance data card but ultimately shifted to Airtel data card.
