Even I have tried all the broadband connection. The worst one I found is relieance. Why ? Let me tell you that reliance itself is very good company providing excellent products but about service its totally nonsense. The employees are becoming similar to government department employees who only knows how to rest. Their replies are without any logic or sense.
These lazy employees of reliance are spoiling the name of reliance. Even though reliance pay high salary to these employees inclu customer care then also they are not performing their duty well. |

During this vacation when I was in India, on 01/12/2010 I went to reliance office (Gopakumar's Building ( Xxi / 129 / 2 ), Nh 17, North Paravur, Ernakulam 683513) to take a wireless broad band internet connection. Immediately one sales person came and when I told him about my requirement he told he will come to my home with the mobile device so that the availability of the signal can be verified. So I came back home. Within one hour, as promised he came to my home with a device and gave me the net connection. Even though the promised speed was 3.1 Mbps, when I tested it was only around 150 kbps. But it was not a problem as I could do the basic things at this speed.
Initially I clearly told him my requirement, i.e., I do not want to down load much data but I need to use it for long time. Then he suggested a 3GB day and 10GB night per month package and agreed. At this time he collected Rs.2400 as the device charge plus registration fee. He didn’t give me any receipt for the cash I paid and I have not signed any contract. (As I was not in India for many years I thought this is the way now). He just collected a copy of the ID card as proof of address and left. Everything was ok for five or six days after that they disconnected my net connection without any warning. Then when I called this person he told my usage was HIGH ! So I have to first settle the bill and then only they can reconnect (up to that time my total usage was only less than 200MB). Since I was in urgent need, I agreed and next day the same person came with a bill of Rs.1500 ( A bill without any details about the usage or how they charged) When I asked him he told the actual amount was around thousand but just added Rs.500 extra (for the future usage) !!! Anyway I paid the amount and told him that I need a detailed bill. But after that he never turned up. Nearly after one week they again blocked my connection. After that I called this person. Then he told they called to my land phone to verify the address but nobody was there to pick the phone ! Now it is around one week they have not re-connected the net . I have been calling him at least twice every day. Whenever I call he will say he will come now itself but he never came. One day I went to his office at Paravur to terminate and return the device but they told it can be done through him only. I tried to call the customer care office (Reliance Communications Ltd, A & P Arcade, S A Road, Kadavanthra, Cochin - 682016) but no response. Fortunately, whenever I call, this fellow will at least pick the phone. Last time when I called, he told the Rs.1500 bill was because by mistake they have set my connection under a different plan !!. Anyway for few days’ net connection I had to pay Rs.4000. Initially they told when I terminate the connection and return the device they will pay back Rs.1500. But now they are telling that, since they could not verify the address (I don’t know how they tried to verify the address and what they mean by that !) and they have already terminated the connection . So nothing is to be done from my end (I.e., keep quiet and forget about the money that I paid… they are like this !) GOOD LUCK |
