My experience with sify....

Thumbs up My experience with sify....

I have been using sify broadband now for about 2 years. I am using the plan with unlimited download limit and 64kbps download speed. I know this speed is quite less and it is quite wrong of them to call it as broadband. But still, this plan is sufficient for my needs. The work I do, mostly deals with text which doesn't have a problem loading at any speed.

I have been using them for 2 years now and will describe some of their features.

Connectivity - Usually good but sometimes during rains the connection ends. However, they give a compensation if there is no connection for 2 days or more. My rating - 8/10

Customer Care - Customer care of sify has been impressive. I would give them 9/10

Plans and prices - I think that all of their plans are fairly priced and in sync with all the other competitors for broadband. 9/10

So, overall I would give them a rating of 9/10.

same review as yours....just with the diff that i used there 256k unltimited connectiong....nice speeds no d\c...all good...

They give compensations for downtimes? Interesting, I might consider them then.

Instead of prefering the compensations, why dont you just go for another company that dosent need to compensate you?

Default worst connection

Sify is the worst. I have taken the connection for 20 day. By this time I had to log 5 complain. And for each complain they take minimum 2 days to correct.
for last 5 days it is not working. And if I call the customer care, they always tell the crap like it will be solved by today evening. But nothing happens at all.

If you take sify you wont get connectivity for more that 10 days in a month.
If I knew this earlier I would have gone to cyber cafe whenever i require rather that taking the crap Sify connection.

They do have connection problem, there is no doubt about that but still as of their customer care, i;ll also say that they are good and they would try to help you as much as possible.

U must be a lucky person to have such reliable connection from Sify, but if you generally look at other people reviews about this company then you would notice something wrong and that is their bad Customer care and problemetic connections.

Anyways use it till it works well, best of luck.

It is nice to see such posts because i fell good that Sify is atleast offering something good to someone in some part of the world. As far i know they are not that much of a company which will care for you once they get your money.

Using the same unlimited download plan but the speed is 156kb. But it hardly ever offers that speed. And as far as the customer service is concerned, with Sify, Id like to ask "Whats that???" They do not entertain complaints and in the end you waste more money on calling them then your monthly bill!

You spoke my mind! I totally agree with you, they just wait for the payment and dont care about anything else.
