Which one is better? I dont mean in terms of speed or rates, what i want to know is if there is any difference in customer care, connection stability, uptime etc.

uptime ofcourse will be btter in sify cybercafe as they have leased lines....as far as home goes we dont get leased lines ....so its obvious connection stability , uptime is better in cafe...

Have you tried out their customer care? I am under the impression that the customer care for the home is atrocious.

Their CC is not that bad, they make you wait a lot but almost everyone does that.

Do you have any personal experience with them? I am thinking of opening up a cafe with them.

No personal experience, but a friend owns a cafe. He actually claims that they are great. but friends having home connections say there are just ok.

Do you mean that a single company behave differently with different packages? I think this is a wrong assumption. Almost all customer care tasks are almost same with all customer of a company. We can talk about overall performance of a customer care though.

sify cyber cafes r the best for net access in the city

but i think hardly anybody uses a sify home connection

Sify Cyber cafes (commerical connections) are much better as comapared to their home connection. If they would have given commercial connection in home then i would have surely gone for it

Sify is good for commerical use only. I don't have Sify connection buti have used sify broadband at some cafes and i think that they are good only for commercial use.
