Thumbs down Why Sify is not good Broadband Company

I have tried literaly 6 Broadband services So I can share my experiance with you. Go for any other company but not Sify.

Sify took activation charges and promised me to activate connections in 4 days. (their infamous promise). When they didn't turned out I called Customer support. They told me that my area is not feasible for them.

So my question is? Why do they charge customer if the area is not feasible.

did they ask you about your location when you applied for their services? for sure you filled out a form which your address is indicated when you applied for their broadband connection..
they did not saw it? and make you wait for 4 days and then did not even bother to call you to give some explanation. how unprofessional..
well, that is for me not a good one.. it only shows that they are not really reliable and trustworthy.. you should ask for refund from them...

besides, sify is not much suitable for home.. i have heard that it suits best for internet cafe.. may be both are very much business-minded!!!

yeah utterly unprofessional. I took help of Grahak Munch (consumer forum) and got my money back within 24 hrs with penalty.

Thats good that you got your money back, also I find cable internet connection providers in general to be not only highly unprofessional, but also a cause for concern for online security.

Instead of getting your money back, you should have forced them to give you a connection as they had already taken your money. They would have had to spend enormous amounts to do it and also other people in your area would be able to get a connection.

Good idea, but they would probably have said that they couldnt because there wasnt nouigh demand and gotten away with it.

All of this category is full of bad stories about Sify. Shockingly on another forum, I have read pretty good reviews about them. I haven't tried Sify yet but after browsing all this forum, I shall not even think about it.

Yah!!! That's is really , really bad. Imagine taking your money and promise to activate your account within 4days but nothings happen.. That's really unprofessional...
Anyone who read this forum, may think a hundred times before they go to Sify broadband.

Sife is a good company. That is what i can say. Customer care is good and i can say this because i have persoanlly met them, you would get a solution for your problem from them.
