I have heard from my friend that Tata Internet is faster than Broadbands of 256-512kbps connection. Is it really true? I just used tata once but that was about 3 years ago and speeds were not at all that good.

It is really very confusing post. I think he is comparing Tata Dial-up with a broad band. I think this is a ridiculous comparison which is not feasible. How we can compare a 56 KB/S with 256-512 KB/S. If you don;t have a broadband then you should try it once becuase it is much much better than a dial-up.

I wouldnt give a 2/10 for Tata Indicom Broadband

And the OP is comparing Tata Dial Up with other broadband connections. If I were a judge to a competition, then I would not even take Tata Broadband for Comparision

Tata is not worth your money don't go there

Some body need to tell these guys that Tata Indicom does not have broad band. If I am wrong some body correct me. Their wireless plug to surf is like dial up speed only. You can not even compare dial up and broad band.

Tata plug2surf gives speeds of around 12-15 KBps and upto 18-20 KBps. Not as good as broadband but not that bad either. For only browsing pages and not doing any heavy downloads, it is enough.

they are not fast that is what i feel after using Airtel. They just pretend to be good but they are not really that much good for amunt of money they demand for their services. I think it will be nice to go for Airtel rather then Tata.

TATA is fast but only if you have a working connection as most of the connection form them have various kind of problems.

I suggest you not to go with them if you still have time to choose any alternative connection.

With time everything changes and so did TATA speeds. They are offering good speeds abut still they are reallly back in terms of good and reliable connection.

Otherwise they are good ISP.
