Default PCMCIA card or enternal modem?

Which one of the above are you using? I think that though PCMCIA card is sterically very thin and can go inside the laptop itself to save spave, but if you wanted to use it on desktop too then it wont be possible to do so. What of the above do you prefer?

I personally prefer the usb plugin types like the one which tata indicom is doing a special offer on these days I think its only 2800rs for that now. PCMCIA cards are good but you cant use them on a desktop if you wanted to..

My broadband providers, Asianet, suggested me to use the PCMCIA card. They do not approve me to use USB kind. I am not sure the reason behind it, though.

PCMCIA cards can be used in desktops, but you have to buy a special PCI card for it which would cost about rs.1500. Much cheaper to use the usb modem, but they are liable to break and damge easily.
