Default TataIndicom WiMAX broadband connection

Hello everyone,

How are you all?

I am new in Bangalore and just have taken the TataIndicom wireless broadband connection. It's for home purpose and for this reason they have given dynamic IP which is assigned by DHCP as they told.

Now I want to connect my second PC means sharing the Internet between two PC.

So, how can I make it? I mean, I bought a switch and two cat16 cables from a computer shop. So, now how can I share this Internet between 2 PCs?

Please help me out. It's very much importent for me to know the solution as soon as possible. So, immediately response is required. And I request to explain the whole thing step-by-step or in details like how to configure, what will be the second PC IP and all.

I repeat, please give a solution soon.

Thank you very much and take care. Have a nice day.

Default sharing wimax connection

you can not share that connection without any managable device. if you will use normal switch which we use in lan than it will give dynamic ip to any one PC and only that one will work. now it will be better for you to purchase a linksys wireless broadband router (WRT54G) it will cost around Rs. 2300. and then your wimax cpe will give dynamic ip to wireless broadband router and from wireless broadband router you can connect 4 pc by cat5 cable coz it has 4 lan port to connect Desktop System and even you will access internet from your laptop through wi-fi.

Don't know when you have bought this wimax broadband connection but now a days they are giving router on six month prepayment. So its a good deal to get router to have connection between different pcs..
