What special WiFi system provides?
Two features about WiFi, that I'm aware of, are that it is firstly a wireless system and secondly it provides better speed. Can anybody let me know what other features that this system provides?

I have recently read somewhere that Wifi is mere a hype in india, it does not provide high speed at all, it is worse than dial up connection at times. It is by nomeans better than broadband at the moment!

I dont know what you mean with whatever you said... WiFi is just a means of creating a local area network whcih instead of using wires to connect is done wirelessly and it does not have any effect on the speed what so ever.
Hope you are not mistaking Wimax with wifi.
