anybody has any idea abt tata wimax service in bangalore.. is it any good???

I would suggest that if you have any other wired broadband service in your area like airtel then go for it rather then experimenting with wimax.. Wimax is still in beta phase and has a lot of unsolved issues and I would stay away from it untill I hear some good reviews from others.

I agree to what Parminder has said.
If you have any option of any Wired Broadband go for that.
But if you dont have any option like that (like me) then Tata is best.
Tata has around 150 towers in Bangalore (Reliance has around 50)
Reliance customer care is worst, they will take months to install a new connection and then forget it. You keep on calling them but you will never get any responce. I have heared that there is only one to get answer and that is to write to Ambani.

While Tata is much better here. You can imagine it from the fact that Reliance is much behind in putting hardware and Towers than Tata but still see the hype and publicity thay have made for it.

Overall, Go for Wireline connection if possible. and never go for Hathway
Otherwise if Wimax is only option then try Tata

I have just moved to B'lore. I stay in Doddanekundi area and have applied for WiMAx yesterday, went for i-384 plan, post paid, 1000 installation charges, 1000 security depst. I have no other option thant WiMax. I hope that it will be good. I'll keep u guys posted

Hi friends. As per my experience I does not found any good feedbacks to Tata indicom WiMax broadband connection. Though I am glad with that. I have not face any problems or issues with it upto now. The only thing as everybody says that you will not get updates from customer support. Within 15day after I supplied the application for WiMax they came and installed and made it up and running.

One bad part is that once they came and tried but failed to get connection becasue there was no signal at my place. The reson was that near our area the tower was not up. But after 5 days they came and installed and it working good and even I am very happy with the speed.

But one problem what I am facing is that after changing to WiMax broadband my Skype call is disconnecting every minute which I am very afraid.

HI All,
I have taken Tata Wimax, a month back and till now except for one or 2 instances there are absolutely no trobles in either the connection or the speed.
I suggest Tata Wimax is the best even when compared to other wirelines.
