This is a true case

Now god knows what will happen with WIMAX

it actually depends on how you will use it.. to use it in a good way or to use it in a bad way.. people have choices.. and the only thing providers of wifi can do is to try putting limitations.. and if they can produce security, much better...

Every technology has its limitation and can be used for good or bad purposes, it is up to the Internet Service Providers to ensure that their networks are relatively secure, so script kiddies cant get in through a downloaded script.

it will be worthless to give comments on this until I shall have used it. Anyhow I hope there will be anything alright with this technology because I have found any latest technology much better than previous one.

well your point isint valid, If some one wants to hack he or she can use a proxy which are available in plenty and last time I checked there were thousands of free proxy sites so wimax isint a threat on that front I suppose.

You might be right but we always have solutions for everything on this planet. Hackers are something beyond the normal so inventors should have to do something extra to save the technology.

WIFI has a limited range of 100 meters or so from the hotspot. I wonder how the hacker managed it from within his car.
If this has happened, probably it wouldn't have been WIFI then.
